Today was the worst day ever for GC guys, "the self proclaimed intellectuals" of IIFT. But education and intelligence does not go the same way when it comes to Business Communication.
Today there was a Business Communication class by Father AC Jesurajan in IIFT Kolkata campus for MBA- IB 07-09 batch. As usual GC guys were unprepared as they were overconfident that they will deliver on the spot. Worst come to fore when the senior most member of GC Mr. Prabhnoor came to daiz. As usual he got lost into what he wanted to say and whole presentation looked like he was discussing three successful ladies. Ankur Agarwal started the proceedings for GC. Lack of preparation was totally evident from the way he delivered his speech. A casual dressing in formal style spoke tons about him. A tie that didn’t have a collar to support and a collar of a shirt that flew out in air. It was like he was speaking just for the sake of doing it.
Next came Abrar, one of the pillars of GC. Much was expected from him but in the end whole show was a complete fiasco. Looked like he was pleading his younger brother to take his advice otherwise father will kill him. He forgot the essence and played the trumpet that was as if a novice is doing it and parents have to guide him to stop.
Praddy, what a smiling face he has got. Looked at father in the hope that he will empathize with his speech terribily looking for a support for father to tell him, “Stop your crap”, father obliged but not before the show became an embarrassment. He had to hide his face behind his laptop and run away from the podium.
Then came the chocolate boy, Mohit. As soon as he started to speak a general consensus was, this guy is better off having chocolates. As if loud speakers at durga pooja are not enough, he is a bigger torture.
Jignis or Jigi bhai did oblige the podium, by speaking few concrete sentences but gave a good enough dose for the audience and Father to sleep happily.
P2P, Rishabh could not live up to his name and be precise. People thought that he was better of racing on laptop rather than trying to race on the podium where he lost his way and seemed as if he was walking in unfamiliar streets of Mumbai, looking for sympathy from audience and father to let him go.
The highlight of the show was jwala(Rahul B haradwaj), it seemed as if it was a dormant volcano. Tried to start impressively but forgot the points which he had tried to memorize. After that it was a tamil, treat for a hindi loving audience. Something that the audience could hardly make of and waited for the ordeal to end.
GC guys wake up!!! U ve got a long way ahead!!
